I am really sorry to say that it is bad news for us tennis lovers…

Covid guidance
The LTA guidance has now confirmed there will be absolutely NO tennis, so from 00:01 on Thursday 5 November the club will be closed until 2nd December. The LTA lobbied hard for the case to allow two people to play but this was not accepted.
We will send further details as they emerge.

Group Coaching
Due to the latest government restrictions we are going to have to postpone all group coaching from Thursday 5th November – Wednesday 2nd December. These missed sessions will be carried forward into next term. Therefore, if you pay via S.O for your group sessions please continue to pay November & Decembers payments and we will adjust them in 2021. If you have already paid for the whole course up front you don’t need to do anything further.

Floodlights
The upgrade replacement to LEDs is now booked for 25-27 November, weather dependent of course. We have confirmation the contractors will go ahead despite lockdown. The plan is to integrate the switching of the lights with the court booking system but we will update you on this.

Parking
From 9th November, there will be Christmas tree sales in the main car park. If we are allowed to reopen before Christmas just be aware of the trucks maneuvering around, but where possible continue to use the small car park by the cricket club. The golf centre will allow parking in their car park during this time but with the current pandemic restrictions the connecting gate will not necessarily be unlocked.

Club Build Project
The details are coming together in preparation for our building regulation approval & a detailed budget cost. We are still seeking grant funds so if anyone knows of any sources please get in touch. If you have any thoughts or suggestions to contribute to the club room please let us know. Our intention is to create an environmentally energy efficient building which will provide our basic needs but require minimal maintenance & running cost to the club. This will benefit all our members now & in the future.

Please keep well & safe & let’s hope we can resume tennis as soon as is permitted.

Please see below for the latest Covid-19 Risk Assessment which has been implemented at the club when we can re open.

Please also note upon re opening we can now accommodate people in the vulnerable category if needed. Our solution is to book them a court when there is no one else around or to let them use courts 3 & 4. If you feel this would be something you would like to arrange please contact the club who will arrange for you to have court time & space.
