We are really grateful for your continued support & patience during the current pandemic, & hope everyone is keeping fit & well. The latest guidance details have now been published so this is the plan from the club:
We plan to reopen on 2/12 in accordance with government & LTA guidance. As both Bristol & South Gloucestershire are in tier 3, this includes all our members, so we must behave with absolute care & caution, keeping to the social distancing rule & hand sanitising.
Please remember to read the checklist:
Singles & doubles can be played but no socialising allowed & only one adult to accompany children.
The social evenings will be available from 2/12, & as before you will need to book your place for each session. Please be considerate to your fellow members & make sure everyone gets an opportunity to book if they wish.
These are the links to book a place:
Ladies Tuesday morning (8 spaces per session):
Men%u2019s Tuesday evening (16 spaces per session):
Ladies Wednesday evening (16 spaces per session):
Mixed Thursday evening (16 spaces per session):
Ladies Friday morning (8 spaces per session):
Group coaching sessions will resume on Thursday 3rd December. The remainder of this term will run up to and including Saturday 19th December.
Players in every group will have missed 4 sessions during lockdown 2.0 these sessions will be carried forward into next year meaning the 4 sessions will run in January. The price for signing up for next term’s coaching will reflect this and have 4 weeks cost deducted. If you pay for your coaching via S.O please pay Decembers payment and then nothing in January 2021.
The upgrade to LEDs has been completed & all the lights are now working!
The Club is extremely grateful to Sarah Milne who has worked so hard on our behalf & managed to achieve a grant of %A315,000 towards the upgrade, from Ibstock Enovert Trust, an Environmental Body funded through the Landfill Communities Fund. We would like to offer the Trust a huge thanks for it%u2019s support.
The switching of the floodlights has been integrated with the court booking system. So any bookings you make will include the switching on & off of the lights within the time booked. It is imperative that you cancel an unwanted booking to avoid unnecessary use of the lights. The lights have been set to be turned on between the hours of 15.00 & 21.00.
On the occasion if the system might fail or a game extends beyond the time allowed, when you need to manually override the automated system, there will be a key available, in a key safe on the the cabin, under the clock, which operates the switches on the right side of the green cabinet. Key code 1906
Progress is being made behind the scenes as the foul drainage system problem is being resolved. To all those who responded to the call to help clear the overgrown area behind the courts, what a fantastic achievement! It was worth a few scratches & scrapes! If anyone has some time to help there is a little more work to be done. Contact Penny (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Main Car Park
Please be very careful when passing through the main car park area through to the small car park by the cricket club. On previous years we have had permission to use the golf centre car park during the tree sales but currently there is uncertainty when the golf centre & it%u2019s connecting gate is open. Therefore it is probably better to use the small car park.
