We hope all our members continue to enjoy their tennis in a Covid safe environment, and we expect everyone to maintain this level of caution for the coming weeks/months. We have a number of new members in all age groups so a warm welcome to you all.

It is fortunate our sport is such that we are able to remain socially distanced with minimal contact. Those of you who enjoy the more competitive levels have been able to compete in county league and regional matches.

Club social sessions

The Club has a responsibility to maintain records & numbers of those who use the courts, so it is necessary,  for club social morning and evening sessions to be accessed by using the booking links as before. If you should need to cancel your booking just send a message to the club mobile: 07928 349154

Thursday mixed socials have plenty of available slots and are a great way to prepare for the mixed leagues during the autumn and winter.

Please return all used match balls to the club so they can be added to the social sessions ball bucket.

New tubes of ball can be purchased at £5 for a tube or £12 for 3 tubes. Payment to club with ref: balls/surname. Simone Cupper or the coaches or committee member will help.

Change of legal identity

The Club is in the final stages of registering as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. There is some more work to be done once we become registered but to help us two additional offers to join the trustees have come from Lorraine Hutton & Martin Laws. They are most welcome  alongside Simon Perry, Richard Colman and myself.

Build Project

The wait for funding opportunities seems to be never ending, and all we can say is that we should be invited to apply, and once it becomes available we will be ready!

The final details, budget costing and changes to our lease, are on hold, until we have funds ready.

County Awards

Congratulations to Richard Colman, who  has been successful for his work in LTA Community & Parks. He is now through to the LTA Regional group awards.

Summer Holiday Camps

The places are now available for booking, for 4-11 year olds, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, starting 27th July,  so please book through the link:

You will have received a survey about Safeguarding at DFTC . Please spend a few minutes to complete it as the results will be valuable to our club audit in July.

Just to confirm that any fully paid members who had their 2020 membership extended to 1 July 2021 will now find they have been extended until 1 November 2021. Your loyalty has been very much appreciated. Please check you keep  your details updated, and it is helpful if you register as a LTA  Advantage plus member to support the club (no cost involved, but ratings can be registered, discounts on some associated websites  and the club become eligible for a greater share of the next Wimbledon tickets ballot)

If you have any comments or suggestions please let any of the committee know.

Many thanks!
