Court Painting

The final stage of the maintenance is booked for Tuesday 3rd until 6th May, so all courts are completely closed for the four days. This is short notice as it is so weather dependent and it could be changed again if increased rain comes along. It is anticipated that the Friday league matches will be able to take place, as long as the work starts as planned.

Please be aware that once the courts have reopened they have more grip, so correct footwear is essential, and that seating must not be used on the courts, because it can damage the new paint.

Cancelled coaching programme sessions will be added to the half term week, but you will receive confirmation of this.

The change of legal identity to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) was approved and implemented on 1st May.  The trustees were elected to be responsible to  Charities Commission, which in turn supports the volunteers  who manage the club, and helps to secure the club’s future.

Day to day running of the club remains as before with the elected management committee;

Chair Penny White; Secretary Sue Sheath; Treasurer Jenny Hinchley; Welfare Officers Rachel Fenton and Theresa Pearson; Social Secretary Lesley St Leger; General Support Lorraine Hutton; Deputy Chair & Marketing Milo George.

Good luck to all club teams playing in leagues and competitions, and please  don’t forget to pay your match fees when requested!

The internal club singles tournament has been drawn and about to start, so we hope all taking part will enjoy it!
